JARDIM

Jardim (2011)

This is a well-known story in Portugal and, in our show, it is told in a different way - perhaps as Inês de Castro's diary. In this diary she describes her first date, love, life with Peter, and his murder. However, your journal continues beyond your death. Until the exhumation of her body and coronation as Queen of Portugal, Inês recounts what happens to those who remain alive. Jardim's goal is to create the immortality of love, and the architecture of the Circus Theater is also important for the show because it will take the viewer's physical body from the bottom of hell to the last cloud of paradise in a real-time process. My work of some years with the Braga Theater Company gives me the opportunity to make this show unique, for the glory and spirit of Portuguese culture, with special thanks to Rui Madeira
